Development of road infrastructure in Sireți commune, Strășeni district, within the cross-border project “Infrastructure development – a driver of socio-economic cooperation”, run together with Tulucești commune, Galați County. Sistem Construct 2007 supplied the Cypher products and provided technical assistance to general contractor Prestigiu-AZ SRL.
Project context
The cross-border project “Infrastructure development – a driver of socio-economic cooperation” brought together Tulucești commune in Galați County and Sireți commune in Strășeni district, Republic of Moldova, with the shared goal of improving local road infrastructure on both banks of the Prut.
In Sireți, the local roads needed a durable solution suited to the area's soils and to the budget of a cooperation project, a context in which the ecological stabilization of the existing material was the natural choice.
The applied solution
Sistem Construct 2007, official Cypher Environmental distributor for Romania and the Republic of Moldova, supplied ROAD//STABILIZR® and DUST/BLOKR® and provided technical assistance to general contractor Prestigiu-AZ SRL: from preliminary laboratory testing through to supervision of treatment and compaction.
The procedure followed the approved steps: treating the soil with ROAD//STABILIZR® for densification and stabilization, then applying DUST/BLOKR® for waterproofing and dust control, using standard road equipment and in-situ material.
The result
Sireți commune obtained stabilized, dense local roads with reduced dust emissions, built with a non-toxic, biodegradable procedure that fits the environmental requirements of cross-border funding programmes.
The project confirms Sistem Construct 2007's coverage of both markets (Romania and the Republic of Moldova) and its ability to technically support local contractors abroad.
